Obliteration

That one song makes it worth it for me. But, I like all the other songs too.

Coffee

mlenzi

Drinking Black Coffee--another awesome BF theme tune like Wasted, TV Party and Six Pack. Great record with gigantic riffs. I prefer the over the top emotional splatter of Damaged but this record will do in a pinch.

Great Flag!

TaterX

If you don't think the guitar riffs from the title track are the coolest ever, you have serious musical taste issues.... And the sexy sounds of Ms. Gardner from L7 in the background on that track...

my own black hole

audiodrome

Totally agree - best Black Flag album ever - reeling to this like no other audio teenage psychosis in history, playing Wound Up and The Bars endlessly, endlessly... Rollins delivers lyrics like "my mind hates my body, my body hates my soul - i close my eyes and fight, inside my own black hole" with such absolute ferocious hardcore emotion it is impossible to sum up in literature form.

Still hurts

BobOnBass

Brutal. This and My War and these guys at Metro in Chicago '85 are resonsible for a lot of hearing loss...

Who gives this less than 5 stars?

Bigtoga

I laughed when I saw this was rated 4 stars...

Quite Simply...

Pikg

... a work of pure unadulterated genius... from a band at the height of their craft and creative abilities... a band with a chip on their shoulders and something to prove... along with " My War " it is one of the most unjustly and criminally under appreciated albums ever released. Think of it as "My War" Part 2. Utterly and completely brilliant.

They Say All Music Guide

Slip It In followed My War almost immediately, and while a bit better (fewer mega-volume angst drones), the band still wanders a bit, experimenting with expanding the breadth of hardcore into a newer hard rock/punk sound. This is especially true of Greg Ginn’s guitar playing, which was becoming increasingly avant-garde and exciting. Rather than simply coughing up one clichéd solo after another, he wandered harmolodically up and down the fretboard as a jazz player like Blood Ulmer would, making the material more interesting than what most Black Flag-influenced bands were playing. – John Dougan
