Like a good Scotch or Red Wine .... It's all in the blend. This is a great blend in my opinion. Great riffs + Good songs + Good Production = Much better than average 80's hair metal album. On par with Cinderella & Poison. Miss Mystery is a classic almost ballad.

Totally Bombastic!
I used to listen to this fairly religiously as a senior in undergrad. Never quite got the attention they deserved I thought, but by then, metal was at its peak and beginning to show wear. You got to love titles like Bombastic Plastic and Miss Mystery. To me, Stop The Lightning was the best thing these guys ever did--they were a little more melodic and stretched the typical production for this kind of album a bit more than most "aluminum" (light metal) bands. Worth checking out.
I think this came out in '85 or '86, and I played it all the time. No one knew who they were, so it was like my little secret band. Classic 80's hair/pop metal.
