I miss Bill Ward on this record. Vinnie Appice is a good drummer, but his style is kinda '80s, and there's just less fucking thud. Still, this record has "Sign of the Southern Cross" and "Country Girl" and those are some heavy ass jams. All in all, a pretty great record. And that album cover...that scared the shit out of me when I was a little kid.

Love all the early Sabbath stuff with Ozzy but this effort from the biys w/Dio is simply impossible to beat! Incredible vocals by Dio. Geezer, Iommi and Ward really let it rip here!!! Get it!
Sure we like Ozzy but admit it; The Sign of The Southern Cross, E5150 & Mob Rules may be the greatest 3 back to back metal songs ever. Highly recommended.
