Unfortunately, this record doesn’t live up to the high expectations set by the brilliant title (which was, by the way, created in part during a particularly weird episode by bassist Phil Sweeney). Recorded in a short amount of time and rushed to get it out for their 1994 Lollapalooza stint, it isn’t as fully realized as it could be. There are a couple highlights, both found at the beginning of the album. The first song, “Cutie Pie,” brings to mind an ultra-minimalist Blondie, and the second song, “Buttercup,” is equally exceptional. – Kembrew McLeod
