Blossom the pianist

BenUptheTree

This album is amazing because it's so not a regular Blossom album. It highlights how beautifully she plays piano without her exquisite vocals. While I have to agree it's not the album you want to get to introduce yourself to blossom, it is a wonderful showcase of a part of her talent that is never truly appreciated.

Not a must have

This recording features Blossom performing with her trio in Paris circa 1955. While her lovelly playing is a treat to listen to, the absenece of her trademark vocals makes this a recording that I would only recomend for the completist. Blossom's best work is on Verve which unfortunately is not on eMusic. The 4 french vocal tracks are by Les Blue Stars and do not feature Ms. Dearie
