So good
"Try" What a song! I've listened to it some many times and still find it as beautiful as the first time. Always loved it, Always will.

"Blue Rodeo" was the banner outside the bar at Historic Properties, Halifax, NS. It suggested blues and country. I thought I'd give it a try. The band had just started up - it was their first gig in the Maritimes. I was hooked. Bought the album immediately. Moved to South Africa - lost track until tonight when I discovered reference to them after searching for the Travelling Wilburys (not available on emusic!) Am thrilled. My favourite Canadian band after The Heartbeats of Halifax.
Like so much of Blue Rodeo, give a listen, then pick and choose the winners
I just want to add a plug for Heart Like Mine, which was the song that really turned me on to Blue Rodeo, way back when. When you sample it, be sure to give it the full 30 seconds, as the sample includes the mellow, almost acapella opening, and then only a few seconds of the full band kicking in with the real rocking sounds that are the meat of the full song.
Great to see more Blue Rodeo on Emusic; no band does better ballads. "Try" is the song that first caught me--it shows off Cuddy's voice, as do several others here, such as Floating and Underground. See also Palace of Gold Album.
Tracks 5 & 6 are key Blue Rodeo tunes; I highly recommend both.
