Sound as 'hot' as a grassy savanna!

For a flavorful taste of southern Africa, try Track 1. You'll love it! This choir of Xhosa people is to Ladysmith Black Mombazo what Son House is to BB King! Capturing the sound of 'real' Africa, Blues Ntaka sings in scintillating, mostly major accord, while avoiding the strict intervals and pop polish of Western harmony. The sound of their X! clicks (sounds heard only in Xhosa, made by clicking the tongue against the floor of the mouth), as well as their whistles, shouts, and swelling dynamics, all recorded brilliantly, makes this homesick African want to put on his d'shiki and take off his shoes, and sing right along! And... no doubt, they would INVITE me to sing along! The other tracks widen the horizon of this album, but beware, you might find yourself singing in Xhosa in the Xhower!
