Why the low bitrate?
The average bitrate of all the tracks on this album is around 190 VBR. Today 190 VBR is considered substandard. LAME was used to encode this music, which means a V2 setting was probably used in the encoding. Really now. Why in the world would someone use a V2 (instead of the much better V0) setting on something as musically rich as Bluetech? Do they think we're all a bunch of chumps that will continue to put up with this treatment? The message here is: \"If you want top quality, you'll have to go elsewhere.\" Very very disappointing. Normally I would give any Bluetech album 5 stars, but the first and last tracks are someone talking and not musical at all so it deserves a 4 star rating. However, I am going to subtract 2 stars because of the inferior (LAME V2) encoding: 2 stars for this download.
