When I first got into Bob Log (and you must see him live), this was my favorite album. This one has some excellent songs, and you cannot go wrong with the fact that he introduces the band where he's a one man band. This of course, has the famous "Boob Scotch." Do not pass this up if you enjoy slide guitar and ridiculousness.

Man, I love this CD. Wonderfully insane, especially when he introduces his body parts in "One Man Band Boom".

They Say All Music Guide

Formerly one half of the Phoenix band Doo Rag, Bob Log III is an original performer in that he plays slide guitar with a kick drum next to him, which he operates like a one-man band, while singing into a microphone placed inside of the motorcycle helmet that he wears. He also attempts to get women to sit on his lap while he plays. The act has gone over big, and he’s toured Japan half a dozen times where he has entertained stadiums full of people. He’s not nearly as popular in the U.S. Of course, this is the sort of act that is best viewed live and an album cannot possibly do justice to it. Log Bomb has some nice rhythms and is very much in the tradition of primitive blues, though updated with song titles like “Drunk Stripper,” “F-Hole Parade,” and “Boob Scoth,” a song where Bob Log III asks gals to stir his scotch with one of their boobs. The sound isn’t too far off from Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, with similar-bent Elvis Presley-type howls, but Bob Log III’s songs are even more similar than Spencer’s. On record, it can be a little bit tiring; a riff on one song being not so different than the one on the last three. – Adam Bregman
