What?

Come on, don't tell people that Braintax represents British hip-hop. His rapping style is as old as the hills, albeit with a British accent. Some good beats, and a few worthy tunes but nothing to write home about. There are some great UK MC's and Braintax is a brilliant producer, but his rapping's nothing special.

Alot of american HIP-HOP fans ( both independent HIP HOP label fans, and mainstream fans ) automatically by pass UK, and Canadian HIP-HOP. I my self have only purchased a couple of U.K production team compilations that had american EMCEES. It is a mistake to pass this album up. It is one of the best albums I've heard in the last couple of years. Download this and I'm sure you'll be downloading the rest of Braintax's libary soon after.

I don't know preciesly what makes great hip-hop...i do know that Braintax and the entire Low-Life stable is making the best hip-hop in the world right about now and i also know that it's unlikely you'll have heard a finer, more original and better produced "hip-hop" album in 2006. For those in the know it will come as no surprise to learn that the follow-up to "Biro Funk" is classic Braintax material; varied beats, flows, musical styles and lyrics that come together to make a whole greater than the sum of it's parts. What we have here though are beats hard enough to test nails, unforgettable hooks but, more importantly, Braintax hits the (freshly tested) nail on the head, lyrically. If "Panorama" is anything to judge him by, he just might be the man to save hip-hop from the r&b overlords that have spent the last 15 years diluting it. This is absolutely essential listening, no matter who you are or where in the world you live...
