Excellent Album!

RemembersWhen

Catchy melodies with well-thought-out lyrics. Reminiscient of Mike + the Mechanics, particularly "You Danced". Thanks for the free downloads,eMusic--wouldn't have found him otherwise!

Music For Lobotomy Patients

brutallyblue

Absolutely nauseating. Mr. Bates must have lived a very sheltered life. There is not a drop of passion in his voice - good or bad. His voice is just one long drone - like a cup of coffee without the coffee and cream - just water and sugar, sugar, sugar. This is music for lobotomy patients, although some could find it exhaustively boring.

Terrible music

spire

after hearing just several samples from this cd i can honestly say that if you have terrible taste in music this CD is for you. This is music for fags, and when i say fag i don't mean homosexuals. that would be an insult to them.

Not Bad

legendsofbatman

Brian Bates is surprisingly, not bad. I was surprised to find out he was "Christian", because unfortunately, Christian music, although it has come a long long way, still is not always the greatest and the best; there are a few exceptions. Brian Bates, however, has a decent mellow rock voice and should find a decent following. He will do well, if he continues to follow his own style, rather than trying to be the latest and greatest imitator of the secular world. Those bands tend to last about as long a snowcone in Phoenix in mid July. Brian Bates may never be a huge success; but I would say he can expect some good success, if he can sustain himself long enough for name recognition.

I really like it! I like Contemporary Christian Music and these are good lyrics too! I would not think to look in Rock for it though! Thanks to the free download I found it! It's what I'd call "CRISP"!

Well played

Calhoun

This is a surprisingly good pop record. And the artfull pop is very well played. Somehow my thoughts go to Sting (and it is not the voice I am thinking of).
