Brian Wilson’s second release for Walt Disney Records finds the Beach Boys mastermind putting his own stamp on eleven classic Disney songs. Working with composer Paul Von Mertens, who wrote the string arrangements for 2004’s Smile, Wilson pays homage to the animated Disney films of his youth by reinterpreting songs from “Dumbo,” “The Jungle Book,” and “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Some of the tracks are performed as complex instrumentals.
