The Complete JSP Recordings: 1979-1982 is a budget-priced three-disc set that contains Live at the Checkerboard Lounge, DJ Play My Blues, and Breaking Out. These are not among Buddy Guy’s greatest albums — some, in fact, are among his low points, though Live at the Checkerboard Lounge isn’t bad — but completists who want all of his records may find this useful, since it offers three albums in a slipcase box at a reduced price. – Stephen Thomas Erlewine
