feel like you're there

what can you say about a blues legend? not his greatest recording but good enough. Been to his club and this effort being recorded live makes you feel as if you are there, complete with the audience which is always a part of his performances.

Nothing Like Buddy Guy Live

EMUSIC-0020294C

There's nothing like a live Buddy Guy show, and this album captures it.

Not at his Best

NEblues

Performance is good but Buddy is certainly capable of better -- doesn't show his potential. This one is probably best for real Buddy fans.

Go for it

TerrapinFlyer

If you like Buddy and are seeking some live tracks then go for it, you won't be disappointed. It's not perfect, but that's Buddy, and if you're a fan and you're contemplating downloading this then you know that. A solid set.

Not up to it

bookman.joe

I have heard Buddy live several times. I have many albums. This performance is very weak. At times he is singing and playing off key. His solos at times sound as if he is out of it. As a guitarist, I am really taken aback that the label would release this poor, poor performance.

so good

Universalcat

Man, this is the real thing. The music is HOT, buddy is smokin, the songs are long slow and strong, and the small bar crowd is rowdy. No disappointments here.
