I agree with the previous reviewers about mis-representation with the performers' identity. The sound is too "tinny" and very likely electronic because it's too even. I own a CD by BVSC and this set of tracks definitely do not sound like the famous old-timers playing "real" instruments in BVSC. The ensemble name should be changed...
I downloaded it on auto pilot thinking this was BSC, but actually deleted it a few days later as I couldn't bear to listen to it anymore. Sounds like a basement MIDI compliation. Ugg.

This is some kind of cheesy electronic cover of some stuff that only wishes it had ever been within 1,000 miles of Havana. More like background audio for a very annoying video game.
It says it is buena vista social club. that's why i got it. I like it.
...and it's not very good either. Don't know how it got into eMusic as BVSC, but it is some off-label group of studio musicians with a Muzak-Cuban sound. Don't believe me? Search the web for "Gift of Music" and see their whole catalog of music. Buena Vista Social Club should have a word with eMusic and/or The Gift Of Music about this.
