If you could have just one this is it, but...

Prog and Greg are right, this is a great collection. Each tune here is outstanding. But it's too bad that Warner doesn't give listeners Buffalo Springfield Again, (the first album I ever purchased). As it is, 5 of the 12 songs on this album are from Again. This doesn't make up for gems that are missing.

A must have album!

gregrh

This is a grreat album featuring Stills, Young and Messina. Great harmonies, great words, great songs throughout. If you never heard it before but love Crosby, Stills and Nash, just download this one. You will never be sorry you did.

imprinted on my skull

kip-w

I listened to these so many times as a kid and later, that when they look at my skull, they'll see it grooved on the bone. Ace material from a classic combo, with Neil's vocals and music shining out at the beginning of a great career.

Warner released a 2 disc set in '73!

hankrobbins

While this is still a very worthy disc, especially for Springfield neophytes (and one of the first LPs I ever bought), Atco/Warner did release a 2-LP Set in 1973 just called "Buffalo Springfield" (now referred to as "Collection") and re-released it on CD in 2007. It has about 85% of the tracks from the 3 original LPs without some of the fluffier stuff. It would be great if Emusic would post it as well, but for now I'm just thankful that so much more great music is now available!

Warner is Messing with Us

ProgNClassicaLover

It's a little ridiculous that this little LP compilation released in 1969 is the only one Warner has ever done, other than a massive overkill boxed set. Meanwhile, they continue the foolishness on Emusic by not giving us the "Again" album, easily Buffalo Springfield's best. In their entire brief lifetime, they only put out about two hours worth of music on three LP albums. Just give us all of it, Warner. What could be so difficult about that? (PS - Thanks for the info, Hankrobbins, I've never seen "Collection" anywhere. My bottom line still stands: Just give us all of it.)
