Fine, semi-forgotten album...

Fitterstoke45

...from 1976 when Caravan had largely abandoned their Canterbury Scene progressive rock roots in favour of a much more focused, commercial sound. And it worked. Pye Hastings has always had a real melodic gift and it comes to the fore on some seriously catchy songs here. The 'Oik'/'Come On Back' sequence may be of prog length but is choc full of dynamite hooks and the man's typically saucy lyrics. Here is the sound of a great, largely unsung British rock band at its most universally appealing.

Wrong band name (or rather, not a real band name)

midcoastmaine

This album is by Caravan. Cunning Stunts is the name of one of their other albums
