Their Best Yet
Every Carptree album has been better than the one before, as they keep refining their formula dominated by atmospheric but heavy dirgy keyboards and dramatic but understated vocals in the Marillion (Fish) or Peter Gabriel vein. Yes, it's pretentious as all get-out, but isn't that the way we proggies like it? They've particularly come a long way on their studio craft since their ROSfest appearance. This album took five years from their last one, and shows it was worth the wait.
