Coming off as a kinder and gentler version of Aphex Twin, Huntley Miller (aka Cepia) crafts the sort of electronic music that'll have your brain dancing, instead of your feet. That's hardly a problem: Miller's melodies are bright, naïve things, ready for whatever may come their way, while the rhythms are stiff and tightly wound, unwilling to budge in the face of the evocative delights going on around them. The combination is a winning one, even if it begins to wear old by album's end: Miller's way with a tune is unparalleled these days, especially with Aphex and other IDM legends seemingly content to relive past acidic glories.
