Underrated Classic

Kamaria

Channel Live came out in the mid 90s and I think they got lost in the shuffle between conscious rap and the foolishness that became the move of the moment. I had the cassette tape from '95; yes, you read that right--the cassette tape. If you're into lyrical content with substance and love real hip hop (there is such a thing contrary to popular belief), please cop this.

They Say All Music Guide

On their album debut Station Identification, Hakim and Tuffy cover social problems such as sex and violence over KRS-One’s lean production grooves. The previous singles “Mad Izm” and “Reprogram” are definitely the highlights here, but the duo get in plenty of great raps on the album tracks as well. – John Bush
