Amazing Deal

Shmendlebert

Fantastic vintage stuff, a really great sampling of that old-time blues, country blues genre from the icons and some lesser-knowns. There's a lot of noise on the recordings, they're scratchy as hell, but it's the real deal. You can only do so much to clean them up. And once you get past it, there's just a purity and a rawness to the music that transcends any sonic limitations. All that having been said, if you're at all drawn to this style, it's 76 songs, people. For 24 credits! Few, if any, better deals around.

Many blues singers had gospel songs in their repertoire, but… more »
