Intelligent and Fun
I listened to the Dana Williams show a few weeks ago and he had Cia Cherryholmes on there going through each track of this new album. I was so impressed that I used my credits to buy it here on eMusic. I plan on buying their other three albums as well. I enjoy the smart songwriting and the family harmony. And just like Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Cherryholmes throws in a few gospel tunes in there amongst the songs about heartache and loss, and those are some of my favorites, i.e. "Changed in a Moment" and "Standing." While not as musically accomplished as the members of Nickel Creek, these guys do a great job on the instruments as well as the vocals. But what really stands out to me are the brilliant wordplay and thought-provoking lyrics. Can't wait to download their back catalog!
