Brilliant!
When this CD was first released, it was reviewed by Stereo Review with such a rave that I ran to the store to find it. I am so glad that I did--the woman is BRILLIANT in writing lyrics with depth and breathtaking turns of phrase. And she 's funny. Songs from this CD have been covered by Bette Midler, Suzy Boggus, and others. But what thrills me with this music (yes, I said THRILL), is the way she lays her emotions out there, and listeners find it easy to connect. "yes,I've been there too." Case in point, "Miss you more than I'm Mad." Start with this CD, and move on to all her others. Cheryl Wheeler is a master at crafting songs.
