Nice music, but it ain't Blues!!!
The lovely and legendary backup guitarist for JJ Cale has a nice album of original songs on her hands, but it sure ain't no Blues!!! It's a shame that this album is labeled as a Blues album, and Traditional Blues at that. Blues fans will be quite disappointed here, and fans looking for some pleasant new singer songwriter music might miss this one due to the incorrect labeling. This well produced album is mostly acoustic, original singer -songwriter and roots based music, with only one song that resembles Blues - the upbeat "Ready For Anything". The rest of the album is influenced by Bluegrass, Country and Western, Carribean, Rock, and Folk. It's a shame that the album has been incorrectly tagged.
