Raye's 10 year old granddaughter, Haley, passed away due to illness in April of 2010. He took this tragic event to heart, and put himself where he knew he really belonged. Raye's tenor voice just soars over the climax notes in "How Great Thou Art", but even more impressive are the smaller notes. No note should ever be sung the same way twice, and he certainly understands this. The passion in his voice is evident throughout. "Here I Am" is another true highlight. A simple guitar backdrop over the voice that, I can not specify enough, is much better than would be expected of a man in his 50's. Please, do yourself a favor, and if nothing else purchase the final track - Amazing Grace. The arrangement, I'll admit, is nothing new or exciting, especially for a song that has been performed by everyone, their mother, grandmother, and their great aunt Helen. But this is a song of rejoice sung by a man who has just seen tragedy, and it could not possibly show any more.
