Com Truise = Super User

ChrisDeutsch

Com Truise's sound is some kind of hybrid between the War Games, Risky Business and Tron (1982) soundtracks...classic video game ads from the late 70s and early 80s...and that perfect dream you had when you were nine-years-old about how you were actually alive inside a Commodore 64 and were ruling the virtual world from within. If none of this makes sense, then watch this video for his song LWYWAW (off the Cyanide Sisters EP) and it will: http://bit.ly/kdaID9

This record is like a synthesizer-fueled journey to a familiar yet altogether new sonic sci-fi landscape. Huge tight beats back sparky arpeggiations with slick production that makes the music feel like it's inside your head rather than just coming from your phones.

Who Is…Com Truise

By Arye Dworken, Contributor

When Seth Haley was a young kid, growing up in upstate New York and searching for a creative outlet, he hacked into the school computer system so, as he tells us, he "could see how far I could go." He might have continued with such dubious pursuits if not for a well-timed introduction to electronic duo Boards of Canada. A more informed friend sent him a copy of their sophomore album Geogaddi, the uninspired high school… more »
