Polygram Special Markets’ Greatest Hits is actually an effective compilation of Con Funk Shun’s biggest hits, containing almost all of their big R&B hits — “Ffun,” “Shake and Dance with Me,” “Chase Me,” “Got to Be Enough” and “Too Tight.” A few big latter-day singles are missing, but this nevertheless offers a solid summary of their prime period at a reasonable price. – Stephen Thomas Erlewine
