I heard Corb Lund on the radio driving across Canada. This is another great album.

Okay; I took the advice of the other commenter's, and they were spot on. This guy is good. But he's not the first Canadian Country Singer I've enjoyed.

I discovered Corb Lund through Ian Tyson. They both give me story songs with heart. I now place Corb with Ian and Tom Russell. The complete album is a gem; don't just select a few cuts: download it all!

You are doing yourself a great disservice if you don't download this whole album. The Corb Lund Band's talent is immense and HORSE SOLDIER! HORSE SOLDIER! gets my vote for song of the year.

If you haven't found Corb Lund you are missing a fantastic singer, guitar player and story teller. Sings love songs about his horse but I wouldn't call him country. His rock punk routes shine through. Horse Solider Horse solider is his best album to date a solid grouping of songs that tell the story of soldiers. Best songs are horse soldier horse soldier and family reunion. Corb your Aunt can stop praying success is here.

They Say All Music Guide

Featuring their trademark authentic and gritty style of barroom country music, Horse Soldier! Horse Soldier! is the fifth studio album from Canadian singer/songwriter Corb Lund and his backing band, the Hurtin’ Albertans. Produced by Harry Stinson, the antiwar-themed follow-up to Hair in My Eyes Like a Highland Steer features the singles “Family Reunion,” “Hard on Equipment (Tool for the Job),” “I Wanna Be in the Cavalry,” and the title track, alongside a cover version of “My Saddle Horse Has Died,” previously recorded by Lund’s former band, the Smalls. – Jon O’Brien
