The eerie late evening on a desert island feeling this album creates is something to experience in itself! Strong songs, memorable lyrics, lovely voice... this album has them all. Highlights include "Afloat", "Let us lie underneath the night" and "That which has no remorse".
This album seems very gentle and quiet, but further listens reveal quite an icy darkness reminscent of Nico. I am new to Corrina's work, but I am now a great fan of this album! Very minimal arrangements, usually on piano, but added underneath is a further unsettling sonic layer that threatens to explode at any moment. Very atmospheric and quite haunting.
