To Mr Cotton Jones and Mrs Basket Ride: an apology
I downloaded this the day it came out in a drunken downloading haze you will all be familiar with. At the time I thought it was the best thing invented since duvet days, but for some reason it's stayed in the "not listened to again" category for over 2 years. What a mistake. There's a soulful blues streak of remorse, syphilis and self doubt that runs dead through the centre of this LP. The Lennon comparison below is not too far off....certainly in his NY days. This would sound fantastic sat on a beach with the sun coming up after a night of pushing the envelope that little bit too far. Pass me the cocktail and massage my head please. My first 5*.
A fantastic release...
"Chewing Gum" is my favorite cut off this album but the entire CD is terrific. "It come to me now" is another terrific track. LOVE these guys. Love em' Enjoy.

Like this one more than the new one. "To Death With You" sounds like John Lennon solo. So good.
