I saw these guys live at the N.O. Jazz fest in 2010 and Oh man I LOVE LOVE LOVE them ..they are sooo entertaining . They were on the same stage as Simon and Garfunkel what a trip two of the most fascinating groups of the whole show !
The records are ok. The live show is the greatest bonding experience on the planet. The Grateful Dead shows were let's all sleep (literally) together, CM shows are we get up and go crazy and feel glad to be alive as one. The most spiritual experience i have had in recent years was the CM show at Jazzfest in 2006-the first Fest post-Katrina. Jenny Says that year was like a collective prayer. Delivered of course jumping up and down and screaming, glad to be alive and with thousands of your closest friends.
Cowboy Mouth is one of those bands that does better live than on record. However, this particular live album comes closer to capturing the intensity of Cowboy Mouth's live shows than do their other live albums. Pick up this album and then go and see them in person.
