For An Instant Smile

This record is one of the best from Cowboy Mouth. "Bad Girl" and "Tell The Girl" are great mood lifters. In my opinion, "Can't Stay Here" is the definite standout on this record. However I would recommend each and every song.

Rock and Roll for the fun of it

I'm not saying there aren't any messages here, but the reason I listen to Cowboy Mouth is for the fun of it. Agreed Uh-Oh and Disconnected inspired me to download the whole album. I don't regret it.

Oh YeeeeaaaaH. Cowboy Mouth delivers all the way through. We agree with the previous review - if you can't feel alive after listening to "Disconnected" you must be near death!

I have a friend, Scott, who claims if it is not guitars and drums it is not rock and roll. Uh-Oh is rock and roll and Cowboy mouth rocks hard on this disc. Th e first cut kind of disquises whats to come bout the next 12 are all rock. The first time I saw them live Cowboy Mouth was the opening act for Hootie and the Blowfish, and by the time they were done Hootie was a let down. Cowboy Mouth captures all of that live energy and urgency on this record, if this record can't get you going you are probably near death. Great download.

They Say All Music Guide

The indie and mainstream scenes won’t have anything to do with them anymore, but the scrappy Cowboy Mouth seems more at ease than ever with their place in world. The satisfying Uh-Oh is the band’s ninth release and first since the one-two punch of being dropped by a major label and the departure of bassist Rob Savoy. The trippy and electronica-colored cover of “Tomorrow Never Knows” that opens the album is promising enough, but the Mouth really turns it on for the self-penned tunes that follow. With other members contributing a couple less songs than usual, the bulk of the album contains drummer and lead singer Fred LeBlanc’s whimsical, energetic, and hook-filled songs. It gives the album more focus than the band’s prior releases and LeBlanc’s writing and enthusiastic delivery keeps getting better. The hyper and humorous “Friends,” the perfect pop “So Much the Better,” and the hooky title track are all top notch and will no doubt become staples of the band’s stellar live shows. The more straightforward and introspective songs written by guitarists Paul Sanchez and John Thomas Griffith help round out the album. Cocksure, catchy, and fun, Uh-Oh gives the legion of Cowboy Mouth faithful a great reason to jump in the ticket line again. – David Jeffries
