A surprisingly optimistic and bright effort

Crocodiles seem to have found their happy place. After two albums of dark and stormy Jesus & Mary Chain-worshipping scuzz-rock, the band — core duo Brandon Welchez and Charles Rowell, rounded out by three new fulltime members — return with Endless Flowers, a surprisingly optimistic and bright effort. Cover = bad, Music = EXCELLENT

METHODATTACK

With their first couple albums, the Crocodiles were approaching something definitively, solidly great. Finally, with Endless Flowers they have squarely hit the mark. Really a flawless, seamless sonic statement from start to finish, with nods to power pop, shoegaze, Britpop, Velvets. Fantastic riffs & hooks, hitting all the right notes. Too bad about the album cover.
