No! I can't look away!
In a year where every new-ish band seems to be quiet and ponderous (everything from Beach House to Bon Iver to Shearwater), it feels good to hear something with some jitters to it. At times Cut Off Your Hands sounds like early Futureheads; in others, like some of the spastic NYC bands of recent past like Ex-Models. On first listen a lot of the songs sound somewhat the same, but there is something there that makes this a band to keep an eye on. "Let Go" is a good place to start.
