survivors
I would like to equate the production and overall feel of this album to Pete Rock's 1998 "Soul Survivor"-put it in your jeep. Talent wise, this record speaks for itself, but realistically speaking, I won't frequent these tracks often. Though "DITC"(2007) has some nostalgic appeal, I believe that it's sound is a little too updated to succeed in that department. Some of the best golden age east coast (or anywhere) MC's were in DITC and they're still dropping above par classics collections 15 years after Showbiz and AG's "Runaway Slave" and Diamond's "Stunts, Blunts, and Hiphop". This album is not without stand outs, one can't fail with Big L, especially on "the Enemy".
