Sorry Dave, ya lost the Mo Jo. This is not close to Heads quality. I know for a fact the album sales
have been paltry at best. Yea i am still Bitter. You split a Truly Fantastic Band. Talking Heads was
your calling. I sampled this 3 times. Couple keepers, maybe if i could hear more?
personally, i feel this album is the tightest, most approachable offering byrne has offered since i was introduced to his moebius lyrical mind many years ago--it remains my favorite recommendation to the uninitiated--my own twisted homage to a fancifully obscure musical treasure
Not all fusion works, but this is a masterpiece blend of latin and brazilian rhythms and arrangements to a rock/pop sensibility. For those whose starting point is talking heads, this will expand your musical horizons to some very worthwhile places. But a latin purist can enjoyably work back too.
