Great CD! One of my all time favorites! & The best version of "Say Hello Wave Goodbye" I have ever heard! ..better than the original
the most awesome review ever. don't listen to the staid reactionaries who diss you. as to gray - can't comment. never listened to him.
I like David Gray but I gotta admit, I got a good chuckle out of Foxy's comments. Given the same circumstances I would probably hate him to. Unfortunate.
To foxymophandlemama: If you can't write a review that offers anything other than your own sicko experiences, why don't you just not write anything. I'm sure we're all not interested in your bizarre life. Put it on a blog or something, but leave these spaces for real listener reviews.
Emusic is catching up with good music. Not just catching ears with good music. This album should be a mainstay in everyones collection.
I heard David Gray's song (Babylon) on the radio. I didn't know who he was but the song inspired me to buy this cd, and I am so happy I did. His songwritting ability is incredible. Every song stands on their own. This years love, sail away, please forgive me etc. Download all!! If you like this album, look for his live dvd and you will not be disapointed. Thanks Emusic for making this album available.
Perfect.
I hate... I mean, HATE... that 'Babylon' song. My roommate discovered this song my sophomore year, and listened to it nonstop. He had the studio version, the alternate version, the David Letterman version, the Jay Leno version, countless concert versions, other people's cover versions, and probably a version he recorded standing outside David Gray's bedroom during bedtime rehearsals. He played all these versions back-to-back-to-etcetera. He did homework to them, played video games to them, masturbated to them, even listened to it while listening to other songs at a lesser volume. He hung a David Gray poster in our bathroom. I will never forget or forgive. I hate you David Gray. I HATE YOU.
