If we have to

...listen to christmas music, let it be something cool like these tracks. "Hark the Herald" sung lounge style is a hoot but solo piano for Silent Night is a wise move. I can't remain cynical at holiday time with tunes as well mannered as these.

Wonderfully atmospheric and relaxing

If (like me) you're sick of washed up rock bands slaughtering the spirit of Christmas you should give this a go. It's wonderfully laid back, relaxed and is the perfect background music to set the seasonal mood with a classical jazz ambience. I'd been struggling to get into the Christmas spirit this year thanks to the crass commercialism of it all but the songs on here are helping me feel it again... now all I need is a roaring log fire and a bowl of festive punch. :)

Perfect background music for the holidays

Stylistically beautiful. It shows there's always room for one more Christmas album (but spare me YAVFS - Yet Another Vivaldi's Four Seasons)

Wonderful Christmas Music

EMUSIC-01CFAF28

I am always searching for new and different takes on old classics. The piano pieces are lush and dreamy and the vocalist are splendid. This is definitely one to listen to with a glass of wine by the fire!

Serve with Cocktails

RitmoLatino

With half of these being instrumental tracks, it makes for good background music for holiday parties. As far as the singers, the vocals are just quirky enough to be different -- but don't expect any Grammy nominations here (and that's a good thing, eh?).
