Unlistenable

Muse8

As a lover of ambient music, including some very dark ambient music, I found this unlistenable. Sounds like a random algorithm triggering sounds from a sampler.

Varied & Complex

barryp3uk

As the album opens, you think that you know where you are in music-space, but this is a varied & complex album, cutting across a lot of boundaries. I found it in a search for Jon Hassell & "Slow Loris" is a great download if you are a Hassell fan, but the album itself, as a whole, is much more daring - blending a groovy ambient backdrop with world music & modern jazz sounds. No two tracks are really in the same idiom but it hangs together well. Wow.

AT LAST !!!!!

even though I own this album, I still downloaded a couple of tracks in support of e-music finally carrying more DAVID TOOP..This is a Great Album..excellent electro/acoustic recording..

They Say All Music Guide

Toop’s second solo ambient work builds on the eclecticism of his earlier material, adding challenging blasts of experimental jazz and non-Western percussion, narration, and field recordings to sound collages that regularly court the unclassifiable in scope and affect. The more club-derived elements of his earlier Screen Ceremonies are largely absent here, replaced by more spread-out, encompassing sounds and arrangements. Daring and accomplished. – Sean Cooper
