Pure Canadian - Amazing Guitarist!!!

Dr.Blues

I was dancing to David Wilcox and the Teddybears back in Toronto bars in the late 70's... David Wilcox is actually a virtuoso guitarist who can play Django Reinhardt, Ragtime, country Blues, Bluesgrass, electric Country, Electric rockin' Blues, and amazing slide guitar... This is one of his most recent albums, and it represents a good varied selection of his electric rockin' Blues side, his romantic songwriter side, and an acoustic Ragtime piece he wrote 35 years ago to close the album. I think this album fairly represents what David Wilcox has to offer.

Wilcox Rocks

UncleFoo

How can you not love this guy? He is one of the hottest blues players out there ... period, and he can handle any other style out there. But he doesn't take himself too seriously, and his tunes show it. His work is pure joy and you can tell he loves playing it. Go see him live, you won't be dissapointed. And yes he is in the wrong catagory, just who the heck is this other Wilcox guy? Ask any Canadian who David Wilcox is and they will NOT mention an American acoustic folk guy. Puleeez!

Wrong Wilcox!

SilverReelMusic

Great to see Canadian guitarist/songwriter/personality David Wilcox on E-Music. Unfortunately he's incorrectly filed under the American songwriter of the same name. Canadian David Wilcox's music is irrevent, refreshing (for blues-based music) and worth checking out. Especially if you can get a hold of his greatest hits. Many a Molson Canadian or Labatt's Blue have been lifted to the accompaniment of Wilcox's great tunes.
