I'm from the old school death metal days where Obituary, Atheist, Cannibal Corpse, etc. were awesome vocally and musically. I was not impressed with the high pitched screaming from the vocalist. I think he was trying to hard. I love guttural vocals and this doesn't work for me. Sorry guys ; however the music behind the vocals was awesome but not enough for me to buy this album.

Deafheaven - Sunbather

Barkman

Amazing - After reading Jon Wiederhorn's review, I gave this a listen. Within about a minute I had to get it. It is a really nice mix of heaviness and chill. It's almost like a mash-up of Mono and Krallice. Every track is really solid - wonderful stuff.

They are mad...I think.

This is My Bloody Valentine really pissed off...and then not so much. Stunning music when you just want to break stuff and then, occasionally, sit back and relax. Essential.
