Despite some pro-forma nods to Jah, Brown was one of the first of the post-Rasta wave. In this album he used a mellow late-reggae style to put over the new word of dancehall music: “We Should Make Love,” “Dance All Night,” and the rest of the party-time ethos. – John Storm Roberts
