Destroyer's Rubies
This album is good, but it doesn't have the same focus and drive of Destroyer's latest output, "Kaputt." Bejar is a good lyricist but his lyrics often run away from him here. He can't keep up, which may be part of his point, stylistically. If Kaputt gets 5 stars, this gets 3. By the way, the last track has a skip in it. Emusic has yet to fix it and has yet to let me know when it will be fixed. Never had that problem with Amazon before! Emusic, you need to be perfect to keep business, especially with the loss of the great labels: XL, 4AD, etc. And the fact that you are often more expensive than Amazon. My loyalty is fading...
