Tank Full Of Blues
Good album, Dion and the blues are a match! Good to hear him singing again.

Great on a number of levels. Beautifully played and sung. Very clean, natural sounding recording too. Fantastic singing where Dion sounds real without sounding like he's pretending to be a Black man from Mississippi.
Outstanding ! Just when you think Dion is finished- he re-invents himself like he did with "Abraham, Martin & John" and now this!
Proficient blues, clean production, sturdy album -- I was determined to give it 3 stars, until I got to the final two songs on the album. Suddenly the whole thing is infused with genuine SOUL -- no posing, no acting "as if." Just honest confession/profession. That's difficult for any recording artist to pull off AT ALL, never mind for a whole album. So 3 stars for tracks 1-9, 5 stars for tracks 10 and 11.
This album rocks! Make no mistake about it. Dion is in top form here. Every track is quality. No filler. Tank Full of Blues rocks more than his previous two blues albums (Bronx in Blue and Son of Skip James) and will keep your fingers snapping and toes popping. Kind of reminds me of Dion's hard rock effort from the late 90s with Scott Kempner and The Little Kings. And, downloading it here at eMusic is a bargain compared to the hard copy price. This album is well worth the price of admission. Dion rocks!!
