Django... Gypsy Soul Man!
Any serious musician must listen to this cat. If you know a pro musician and they do not know who Django is then...I recommend the book, "Django The Life and Music of a Gypsy Legend" by Michael Dregni. I've read it a few times. Pretty insightful. When listening to Django's guitar playing, it kind of paints a picture of his timeline. I've always heard Chet Atkins perform "I'll See You In My Dreams" but at the time I didn't realize that came from Django. In Django's version, he picks the strings so hard yet it retains a certain gracefulness. It impacts the listener to go "WOW". Everyone should have at least some Django tunes in their own personal music catalog. Such great music!
