I think these cds cover a wide range od Django's music and I am really enjoying it. With the added great playing of Stefan Grapelli it's a superb addition to any fan's collection.

Not the disc to get
If you're going to get just one Django disc, at least find one that has his best known songs, such as Nuages and Minor Swing.
Last Tango with Django!
It's not so easy to find decent Django Reinhardt stuff to begin with, and through the years, I've been able to collect a few songs here and there, as I didn't want to invest in old "78's." This collection is a nice, and recognizable cross-section of his work. The greatest guitarist of this genre that ever graced the earth. If you can have but one Django album; this is the one you'll want. Hitler and his Nazi henchmen were affraid that this music would rot the minds of his master race, and consequently outlawed it. Like rock-n-roll was to the masses of teens in 50's and early 60's; so was the music of Django and Stefan Grapelli, whom you will also hear on many of the peices in this album. For sure, every budding guitarist should know the history, and it's a great gift.
