Drift Away, In Crowd, & You Are So Beautiful

BellyUpToTheBar

Drift Away, In Crowd, & You Are So Beautiful were all sung by Dobie Gray in 60s & 70s. These are excellent reproductions or the originals. I compared Drift Away to a Time-Life infomercial. They sounded identical.

Here is the Uncle Kracker duet version

Uncle Cracker No Stranger To Shame http://www.emusic.com/listen/#/album/Uncle-Kracker-No-Stranger-To-Shame-MP3-Download/11766372.html: For those of you under 30, don't assume a song isn't original just because you have heard a different version. New versions of old songs come out all the time. Take some time and do your homework before burning your download points. A lot of these older songs sound "watery" because they were orchestrated for AM radio, which wasn't big on booming base.

Actually...

This is the original for "Drift Away"... But Dobie Gray also sang another version with Uncle Kracker in 2002, or perhaps it was just dubbed. Not your usual re-release/dub/cover, either. More "2.0" than just "2", if you get my drift. As for the others... meh. Listening to this stuff in my parents house is what drove me to punk. If you like soul, and you are in the "soul/R&B" section, then I guess that this is some of the good stuff. Not my thing, though. Just read the Wikipedia article on Mr Gray, and the release with Uncle Kracker is a duet, of all things...

I mean bravo for sounding all soul-ish and stuff whoever you are. This actually made me die a little faster. I want my download back emusic.
