From Romania with love.
One symphony and two concertos - orchestral music by Doina Rotaru, a young woman from Romania whose music is played often in Europe. The compositions are 'Flute Concerto No. 1' (1986), 'Symphony No. 2' (1988), and 'Concerto for Saxophone(s)' (1993). The beautiful performances are by the University of Huddersfield New Music Ensemble and Orchestra, conducted by Barrie Webb, with PIerre-Yves Artaud (flutes) and Emil Sein (saxophones, bass clarinet).
