If you ever wanted to hear what Dokken would sound like without George Lynch and after Don Dokken lost his voice then you are in luck. I have never ever deleted anything I have downloaded until now. i really wish I had read the reviews before I wasted the space on my hard drive.
Why do bands continue to make a mockery of their past with these re-recordings? Do you have nothing else to say as artists? I can see heavily remastering ala Triumph's greatest hits (which sound better than the original recordings imho), but this is just nonsense!!! You'll be lucky if you read these before you waste precious downloads!!!
Too often the re-recorded stuff isn't nearly the quality of the originals. Still love Dokken but, the vocals aren't quite the same these days.
Not much of a fan of the Re-Recorded stuff (sorry) But Love my Dokken (I think they've always been under-rated). Almost Over is close to classis Dokken, Magic Man, however, just doesn't get it for me.
A lot of people complain about the Re-Recorded versions. I personally love these. If you don't like these, you can still own the original, they are not replacements, just more to choose from. kinda like a live record. I think these sound good!
this sounds more like don dokken his own style,nothing close to the original band dokken.
OMG! I'm sure George Lynch is laughing is A** off! So bad. GTR tone is bad. I've been a Dokken fan from day 1 & gotta say - this blows.
Although Lynch is no longer with Dokken!! Who cares?? You know what I don't, cause I like 'em both! Yes you heard me I like them both! Now mind you I wished they could get along and make some killer music together, but I'll take what I get!! I wish one day that Don would do a guest album like George did way back in 1993! An have a bunch of different musicians to show off their different styles! For a new spin on some old tunes I say go for it!!
Avoid this at all costs. Don can't hit the high notes anymore, and George Lynch cannot be replaced. This is just a shameless cash grab. Get the Alone Again compilation with the original versions. Tracks 11 and 12 are the only downloads you need from this as they are new songs (with one a cover).
