Misanthropic comedy at its best.
When I first heard this album, I was immediately hooked on Stanhope, and it remains my favorite of his. In a comedy world full of hacks, it's refreshing to hear a truly witty and original comedian jump right into the taboo subjects. Definitely give "Fuck Your God" a listen, especially if you liked George Carlin's rants on religion. If you're a jesus freak or a Dane Cook fan, look elsewhere. Oh, and some humorless asshole here said this is "stuff that really wants to be Bill Hicks", which is bullshit. Unlike a Hicks album, there are no self-delusional visions of world peace or philanthropy thrown in at the end, and the only time Stanhope invokes the cliche 'legalize it' argument is as a segue to the religion debunking.
